Within all of us is a sadist, a predator, even a killer. For some this is more so than others. Delving into one's dark side, opening the floodgates, exacts its toll.
It may be a tremendous feeling of shame or depression, or waves of fear. It may stir up a violent side that was imprisoned by a wall of denial. Past trauma long thought resolved or forgotten may return to the surface. For some this may be more than was expected and possibly more than can be handled.
This chapter offers some advice to those who take the aspects of darkness too lightly and find themselves in over their head.
