latex gloves & peeling nails

I wear latex gloves for 8 hours a day 5 days a week. as a result my already thin nails have begun to split and peel terribly. Is there any treatment I can use on my nails to repair the damage being done by these gloves? I'm sure it is a result of lack of air, as these gloves are skin tight and need to be to perform my job.
