Gothic Nail Care Forum Chipped black nails Posted By: Pulse I may be in the minority here, but I like when black polish gets chipped. In fact, what I've started doing, is applying the polish just in more-or-less the center of the nail, and then chipping off the edges a little bit to make it look as though it had been there for weeks. No need to give it a clear coat when I'm just aiming for a tattered chipped look. Done right, and I can have polish that's only been on for a few hours, but it looks to be weeks old. I'm not sure why I find this appealing, but I do remember some months ago seeing a girl with really chipped polish; it seemed appealing for some reason and I tried to reproduce it. I'm a guy by the way.
