Gothic Nail Care Forum YES! Posted By: Xander Yes! I finally wore my nails black in public. I wore false nails polished glossy black then went to a nearby shopping centre and tried doing a few things with my hands to get them noticed. In any store I went to I made sure my fingers were stretched out whenever I reached out for something. When at a counter and waiting for them to finish processing I would rest my hands on the counter and tap my nails rhythmically. Two girls working at WHSmith were a bit shocked while serving me(though they tried to be as polite as possible). A woman standing next to me at a drugstore gave me a strange look as I was picking out polish, nails clearly visible, when I went to pay at the counter the girl there saw my nails and simply smiled. She looked intrigued rather than shocked. Not a single word from anyone throughout the day. I finished with a bus ride home, my fingers over the handbar in front of me(this was just to show off my nails rather than for safety). It was so satisfying!
