Gothic Nail Care Forum Broken Nail, and trimming Posted By: Sor Alright, I've had a hangnail on my left hand for three months. Why didn't I try and fix it? I thought that it was just a white spot. That is, until my nail split right across the base of the white, almost to the pink. Since it's a bit late to get any help with fixing my hangnail, I now need any advice on how to either protect this nail (and to make it less noticable) until it can grow out, or how to(*cringe*) trim them all to the same length as the broken nail. This last option would be particularly painful, as a few days ago I had been hassled to cut my nails by someone I work with, and truly wouldn't want that person to think that they have the upper hand on me.
