Hi! My name is Erin and i live in Delaware. I have that same exact problem, but i also bite my nails. I don't bite my nails to the cuticles or anything, but it's still disgusting... I can't remember when i started biting my nails, but my mother says it was when i was in 5th grade. i say it started before then. I believe it's anxiety or something like that. I've read somewhere that sometimes it can be because of moving, and i am in 10th grade and have moved around the country 6 times!! I'm not an army brat, but also i didn't have too many friends back in the day, because i was always new in town. I suppose that also poses part of the problem. But i would really appreciate it if someone would PLEASE try to contact me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE with any info about something i could do to kill the bad habit.
