I very occasionally (Very, as in once in a blue moon, literally) see another guy with nail polish on. This might be because I rarely go out to clubs, and go to college in a somewhat townie town, but there you are.
I'm straight, live in England, and have long, painted (when I get the time) nails. I get the occasional funny look, and every so often some complete moron hassles me, but for the most part people seem don't seem to mind. A lot of the comments I get are from women, either wondering if they are real, or telling me that I have nicer nails than them.

As for the men in skirts issue, I will very often wear a plain, long black skirt around the house because I find it more comfortable, but I rarely wear it if I go out.

An interesting side note: I saw on children's TV, (A program called Blue Peter) an article about men in skirts. I think it was to do with an exhibition at a design centre or something, but that kind of thing on a children's show surprised me. I won't comment on the fashions, though ... not quite what I would wear ;)
