Interesting ideas

Just been playing around with nail ideas as of late and I have come up with a few that I'd like to share. Firstly is probably an uber-obvious one, but I'd never thought of it before, anyway I ran out of black polish last month and I was going out to a club so in haste I slapped a coat of clear on then used a black permanent marker over them followed by another coat of clear. Now surprisingly this worked brilliantly well, it looks exactly like regualr baclk polish only it's much easier to apply as it's just the pen! With this you can also do more complex designs and all sorts (What can I say, I'm an art student!).

The next idea I had was about a week later, I need to take my coloured nail polish off on weekdays and this costs me a fortune in nail varnish remover, however I was messing about with a bit of insulation tape and decided it might be a laugh to try some on my nails. Cutting the tape into the shape of my nails then applying a coat of clear varnish to the surface gives them a similar look to normal nail polish and they just peel off which is a hell of a lot easier than getting out the old acetone. Using this I then mixed colours and patterns, stuff like that, it looks great and adds an especially industrial edge as well.

Anyway I just thought I'd see if any one else has any interesting ideas as to nail design and to get the opinions of any nail techs as to how healthy for my nails these methods are.

Thanks,

Havoc
