Almay makes nice nail fortifiers.
You need to "fortify" the nail from
the inside out. That means you have
to treat the nail.
Apply the product to your nails with
at least one thin coat a week.
You also need a lot of moisturizing, ie;nail creams and/or soaks. Drink MORE water
during the day.
Cut "hang nails" immediately
and shape up all nail ridges/splits.

If you are really lost, save a few bucks
for a professional manicure and then work
from there.
