I rarely break my thumb nails.. seems the nails on my "pointer finger" (or whatever it's called) are the ones that rarely get as long as the rest due to abuse and breaks.

I've been noticing more and more that my nails break MORE when I wear hardener so give it a shot without them first. Nails should be a bit pliable anyway to handle the stress.
