Tarrytown, NY | The coven, Lotusfire, was born on June 24, 2006. My name is Sky and after 16 years practicing Witchcraft/Wicca, 9 years with an elder group in Connecticut, I started a teaching coven of my own. Currently, I am mentoring 3 Dedicants who are all working toward Initiation sometime this summer 2007. I am a 34 year old male living in Tarrytown, NY. My orientation to the Craft is eclectic, goddess-centered, and less traditional; though I do perform Dedication upon entering the coven and Initiation after a year or more of committed study.
Groups develop personalities of their own and I would say Lotusfire is friendly, talkative, and full of energy and ideas. Some common themes to our journeys are experiencing the Goddess(es) in all Her aspects, sharing and balancing energy, learning and practicing Magick, striving toward personal growth, and creating a sense of family/community. We are a small and intimate group that meets once a month, usually in Tarrytown. After being “closed” for half a year, the coven agrees and I am ready, to take on a few more students this spring.
We are a diverse and open-minded group and we welcome all; young and old, gay and straight, male and female, and all other persuasions. So if you are interested in learning the Craft or you want to continue your journey with a coven, please contact me. Of course, after a few emails I will need to meet with you to discuss your interests and my orientation to the Craft. If this is successful, you will be invited to guest at a Circle so the coven can meet you too. If everyone gets along and you are seeking to join, I will do a Dedication for all new members in April.
