Teresa Burns is an English professor with an interest in Renaissance Hermeticism, especially the connection between the magical systems of John Dee, Edward Kelley, and Giordano Bruno to the literature and architecture of the time. Her articles have appeared in the Journal of the Western Mystery Tradition. She and Nancy Turner have created translated the first English edition of The Consecrated Little Book of Black Venus, or Tuba Veneris, attributed to John Dee. They are also currently working on the first English translation of Dee's Monas Hieroglyphica in over 50 years.
