Commissioning Work

While we primarily produce books for release under our name, our binding services are available for commissioned work of both single or multiple books. Such projects would not display our label as they are not truly "published" through us.

Generally when commissioning work through us for private use and distribution (such as using us as a vanity press) the author pays all materials and production costs. It is generally cheaper per book to commission books in sets of two or three since materials such as leather and end papers cannot be purchased in fractional sizes. (In other words, we need to purchase leather by the skin, and end papers by the sheet. These can usually make more than one book.)

We reserve the right to decline projects when our resources are not available due to other projects.

Additional Services

For an additional fee we offer the following services for authors who need extra assistance in preparing their text for publication.

• Typography and layout. This includes font selection, sizing, and layout as well as general page structure and special pages such as the inside title page. Authors may need to purchase or license specialized fonts which are not in the public domain. (We will work with you to obtain free or low cost fonts whenever possible.)

• Photo manipulation and the creation of illustrations and embellishments, as well as promotional materials and websites. Authors who will also be releasing a mass-produced version of their books may also contract our designers to help with their cover designs.

• Proof reading and editing of your text to assist in catching spelling and grammatical errors as well as proper flow of wording. Authors own and are welcome to republish the finalized versions of their texts.
