Music is a most powerful tool. It can bring us to tears or lead us to victory; it can calm us in elevators or induce us to buy more in department stores. Even restaurants have learned that faster-paced music tends to make us eat faster and thus makes for a faster turn-around of tables.My personal taste in music is rather eclectic, as with most things in my life. I tend to be drawn to the more ethereal, but as you will see from my music collection below, I like a whole range of stuff.
One thing I really hate is rap, but since I don't consider that "music" I guess that doesn't count. I also dislike R&B, which I find to be very "whiney" because the singers are too busy showing how long a note can be drawn out. Country music does nothing for me but prolonged exposure would probably make me twitch. As you can probably tell, I have a low tolerance to music I dislike and will go out of my way to avoid hearing it.
Other lame performers (IMHO): Hanson, Spice Girls and Puff Daddy. I find them to be more profit-oriented fad vampires than true artists. Their "music," for lack of a better word, gives me hives.
Ironically I did enjoy some of the "freestyle" music of the 80's, unless it was over-mixed. I recall one song "Come into my arms" by Judy Torres... I liked it and some similar to it.
Since I only listen to the radio when I am driving - and I rarely drive - my exposure to "popular" music is limited. (But that is probably a good thing.)

This is what happens on those rare occasions I have too much time on my hands - I make useless pages for the hell of it. This is a list of my CD's. I did not include my cassettes and LP's. Maybe next time I have nothing better to do...NOTE: I have not updated this list since 1998! Hahaha.. sorry. I have more but I guess for the most part it is "more of the same" so this should give you an idea of my taste all the same.
