calvinThere are many faces to the Dark Wyccan. People tend to know me more by my projects than my name since I like to keep a low profile and these days I tend to just go by John J. Coughlin. I am the creator of CorporateGoth, the Gothic Personals, Pagan Personals, and all the other sites listed on the main page of waningmoon.com. I also wrote a book on Dark Paganism that was published in 2001 and I am working on other books with no rush on when I will submit them to publishers. I have rambled enough about me on the other pages so here I'll just throw in a few more facts about me to fill in the blanks.

As my internet handle suggests, there are some Wiccan influences to my spirituality dating back to the early 80's although I have been shifting into a path of my own ever since. I prefer to work alone, but I do the occasional group thang to keep in touch with the local Pagan community. I also haunt the gothic scene, hence some may argue that is one of the reasons for the "dark" in Dark Wyccan (exciting, eh?). Actually, the name was intended to be a cheesey pun and I never intended it to last, but as my websites gained popularity the name just stuck. There's obviously alot more to me so if you want to know more look through my various websites to see what I am into.

my tattooStats: 5'9", 150+lbs, blue eyes, short dark hair, predominantly Irish descent, a few (8-10) ear piercings and one tattoo on my upper right arm... and I'm a male, if you haven't figured it out. My hair is sometimes dyed "Bodacious Burgundy" (looks black with burgundy highlights) and was once highlighted blue, but usually I stick to black. My nails tend to be long and filed to a point unless they annoy me too much and I need a break.

Basically I am easy-going and rather on the quiet side, prefering to keep away from crowds. I was born and lived much of my life in Westchester County (NY), although I now live in a small, quaint town in the Hudson Valley. I work in New York City when I am not spending quality time with my girlfriend or working on one of my web projects. My humor is rather macabre in nature, but I'm (relatively) harmless. Someone once told me if I weren't so shy I'd be dangerous... I took it as a compliment.

Some recent news (if any) about me and waningmoon.com can be found on my Live Journal.
