This is one of the many dedication pages to an incredible show, The Roar. Like many others, I had seen all of the episodes when they originally aired on Fox television back in 1997... (with the exception of the pilot show, which of course was the 1st and most important!!!) The series was cut short and disappeared for a short while, leaving us fans to seeking out recordings from eachother and screaming for more. While we petitioned for a DVD, I borrowed copies of the episodes from a European fan, who was fortunate to view even the ones that didn't air in America. In February of 2004, the show was brought back to television via the SciFi channel in America. But only now is there something left to satisify the long term fans of the show....
UPDATE: AUGUST 16th 2006: The Roar is coming out on DVD on Septemeber 19th!
The 3-disc set includes all 13 episodes, including those that didn't air. The cost is around $40, but you can find it cheap on Amazon Buy a copy now!
The Roar was a small television series that aired during the Summer of 1997. The series consisted of 8 episodes that aired, with about 5 more promised episodes. Fox had claimed that there wasn't enough audience to the show and so they had to take if off the air. The fans went crazy over the fact that Fox promised to air more episodes and never did. In hopes to persuade Fox to keep to their promise there were petitions made and signed on and off line as well as thousands of letters mailed to Fox studios within the 2 years that followed the premiere of The Roar.
